Pine Straw Installation FAQ

Fresh Pine Straw laid in landscape in rocky face, georgia

What’s included in your pine straw installation service?

Our pine straw service includes:
✔ Delivery and installation of high-quality, long-needle pine straw
✔ Even spreading and proper tucking for a neat, professional look
✔ Cleanup of walkways and driveways after installation

Why use pine straw as mulch?

  • Enhances curb appeal with a fresh, clean look
  • Helps retain moisture and reduce soil erosion
  • Suppresses weeds naturally without chemicals
  • Provides insulation to protect plant roots from temperature changes

How often should pine straw be refreshed?

We recommend refreshing pine straw every 4–6 months to maintain coverage, color, and effectiveness.

How much pine straw do I need?

A single bale of pine straw typically covers 35–50 square feet when applied at a proper depth. If you're unsure how much you need, we can provide an estimate.

Do you offer removal of old mulch or pine straw?

Yes! We can remove and haul away old pine straw or mulch for an additional charge upon request.

Will pine straw blow away easily?

Properly installed pine straw is tucked and layered to help it stay in place, but extremely high winds may shift it over time. Light maintenance can keep it looking fresh.

How should I prepare for pine straw installation?

✔ Remove any obstacles from landscape beds (decorations, hoses, etc.)
✔ Trim overgrown bushes or plants before installation (if needed)
✔ Unlock any gates for equipment access

Note: Brian Lofty Lawn Care is not responsible for damage to objects left in the installation area.

How do I schedule a pine straw installation?

Simply contact us via call, text, or email, and we’ll schedule your service at the earliest available time.
